The composer, rAmasvAmi
dIkSitar (father of muttusvAmi dIkSitar) is famous for his very
lengthy rAgamALikAs. For a write-up on his life and contributions,
especially, his mammoth "aSToTtarashata rAga tALa mAlikA" (supposed to
have 108 rAgams and 108 tALams), please refer:

There are 43 rAgams
present in this rAgamALika, with the rAgamudra cleverly woven
into the sAhityam for each of them, a practice that the rAmasvami
dIkSitar followed in all his rAgamalikA compositions.

pUrNacandikA, dEvakriya, naTanArAyaNi, mEghara~njani, hamvIru, and bhUpALam.
The song is in praise pf Goddess
MInAkSi of Madhurai Temple. Various descriptions of Goddess mInAkSi
are furnished in this song.
The prabandha mudra, "vE"nkaTak.rSNa"
(the name of the patron), that rAmasvAmi dIkSitar always used in his
compositions, appears in the last line here.
MEANING
Due to the
complicated word constructs in this rAgamAlikA, where the composer
skillfully accommodates the raga mudra for each featured
rAgam, it is very difficult to decipher the exact meaning of some of the
phrases. Hence, we are providing only a very brief summary, rather than
elaborate line by line meaning.

Oh mother
mInAkSi of Madhura! Please take care of me
anupallavi
You are
the empress of the universe, bhairavi, you hold a parrot in the hand;
your bridled hair resembles a snake. You are the most auspicious
caraNam
Oh shrI
gaurI! the ornament to sha"nkara, you are part of your husband's
body, You are
not responding to me now , may be you are in great hurry. With
patience, you take care of needs of your devotees as
shAra"nga-yAna, You are
the leader of all mantra-s.
Sarasvati and
lakSmi serve you with cAmarams with love and gentle sounds of
the bell (ghanThA ravam); you are splendorous with eyes like those of
the deer.
O sister
of Hari, you take care of people. Good people from KarnaTaka,
marATTa, kuru, vidharbha, sauraSTra countries, with their kings and their
chatura"nga armies (comprising of elephants, chariot, horses, and
soldiers) serve you, and you take care of them.
Oh
paradEvatA! the one who moves gently like a swan, and who has the
middle like a lion. I serve you. Please do not be angry at me
O the
delighter of Lord shiva (MadhurEsha manOharI), you are
splendorous like the pure full blue diamond.
The last caraNam segment of the rAgamAlikA
describes Goddess mInAkSi with various attributes, as the protector of
Ve"nkaTak.rSNa of maNali (the patron of the composer,
rAmasvAmi dIkSitar).
