| Son of Parur Sundaram Iyer and brother of M S Gopalakrishnan, Anantaraman is a competent violinist, a chip of the old block. He had his training under his father and made his debut at the tender age of seven. For nearly six decades now, Anantaraman has been accompanying all leading vidwans and promising musicians. He served as a lecturer and then Professor for the Central college of Carnatic Music, Chennai between 1962 and 1983. |
