Coinciding with the 96th Birth Anniversary of our beloved Semmangudi mama, Carnatica is pleased to launch a new feature titled shRavaNam - The Listening Experience! It is exactly what it sounds like... we will be featuring regular uploads of vintage recordings of old masters in an effort at sharing some of the great music in our archives - those magical moments from the annals of history, when the great masters created scintillating music that enthralled the live audiences of those days. This is an effort at understanding the true soul and spirit of our musical heritage and will be strictly of an educative and illustrative nature. The music will be uploaded in streaming Real audio format and can be played back using the Real Audio player. The uploads will be for a limited duration and we encourage rasikas to listen to the streaming audio online rather than download the songs to your hard disks.
