The Music Academy, Madras is celebrating
its 80th anniversary. As part of the celebrations a special one-time honour
titled Liftetime Achievement Award was conferred on Violin maestro Lalgudi G.
Jayaraman at a solemn function at the Academy auditorium on Sunday, March 9th
2008.
