Saxophone talents Kumari M.
S. Lavanya and Kumari M. S. Subbalaxmi are the daughters of Smt. Girija
Sainath and Mridangam artiste Sri. . M. R. Sainath, a staff artist, All
India Radio, Mangalore.
Since their childhood,
loving music deeply, at the age of 6 they started learning vocal music under
Sangeetha Vidhushi Smt. Nagaveni of Mangalore. At the age of 15 they started
learning Saxophone from Padmasri Dr. Kadri Gopalnath and continued their
higher training where Sri. Gopalnath stayed. Till now they have entralled
music lovers on various prestigious stages in the country and abroad.
They are also successfully giving concerts for radio and television. They
have made recording of their music and are available on cassettes and CDs.
