Musical Background:
Deepa Srinivasan, an upcoming carnatic vocalist, started learning music at the age of 5 from the local teachers of
Bombay. She continued her training under the able guidance of Valliyur
Sri.R.Gurumurthy, who shaped her into a concert vocalist. She took advanced training from
Kalaimamani Smt.T.Rukmini. At present, she is a disciple of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri.T.K.Govinda
Rao.
Performances:

Deepa started performing full-fledged concerts at the young age of
12.
- At the tender age of 13 she was felicitated by Padmashree Sri.K.J.Jesudass for her rendition of Ragam Thaanam
Pallavi.
- She was blessed enough to participate in the Thiruvaiyyaru Thyagaraja Aradhana, for three consecutive years.
- Deepa has performed in various places like Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Karaikudi, Mallur and so on. She has performed in different sabhas like Vidwath Samajam, Bharath Kalachar, Kapali Fine Arts, Mylapore Fine Arts, Rasika Ranjani Sabha, Naada Inbum in Madras; and in sabhas like Gayana Samaj, Indian Institute of World Culture, Yuvanika, Jayanagar Cultural Association in
Bangalore.
- She has also performed in the US in different places like Austin, College Station, Houston, Dallas and so on.
