| He
had his initial training from C Achutaramaiah and M V Pantulu. A graduate
in music from Andhra University, he refined his style from Dr. Sripada
Pinakapani. Voleti had the opportunity to get acquainted with Hindustani
music too. This enabled him to appreciate and assimilate the good features
of both the forms, and in the process benefit from it.
His was a very facile and fluid voice that enabled him to sing with a lot of elegance. He worked as a Producer of Music at All India Radio, Vijayawada and introduced several innovative programmes. A highly dedicated vocalist, he earned the respect of the knowledgeable and the lay alike. |
