| He was known for his rich imaginative style and particular devotion for Tyagaraja kritis. His music was like a streak of lightning, at once awe-inspiring and impossible to touch! With a voice that could easily execute the whims of his imagination, he was one of those rare musicians who held his peers and the public enthralled with the magic of his music for several years. His renditions of raga Mohanam and kritis like Chalagalla (Arabhi) and Marubalka (Sriranjani) are still fresh in the minds of music lovers. He has also produced disciples of the calibre of Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer. |
