B Rajam Iyer
    
Born at Pavattakudi (near Ramnad), Rajam Iyer had his initial training under Tirugokarnam Subbayya Bhagavatar and vidwan Ganapati Iyer of Kunnakkudi. He then had training under the gurukula-system from Ariyakkudi Ramanuja Iyengar for a decade. Today, he is one of the leading disciples and exponents Ramanuja Iyengar's style. He has a vast repertoire of Muthuswami Dikshitar kritis. He is an acknowledged musicologist and a teacher.
