He was famous for his rich, vibrant and ringing voice
which he used excellently to highlight the devotional mood of Carnatic
compositions. He was also a good violinist. He led a very simple life and
maintained his voice until the end. He brought to light various
masterpieces like Rakshamam (Gambheeranata), Pavanaguru (Hamsanandi)
